If you die its because you decided to stay too long and made a poor decision. On the brightside, low wake jumping is fast, easy, and almost guaranteed on the conda, since only another conda locks it. Also the fact that it cant run or dodge in normal space means once your shields are down you are toast, if you're not halfway through your fsd charge at that point, either your drives or power plant are gone before you get anywhere.
Seriously though to add to this correct comment, its a great(the best) offensive tool, and soaks damage better than anything, but as you'd expect it requires the fight to be on top of you. If you're in a group, your weakness will be people running away, so you will need things with speed.Īnd in a wing of 3 anacondas, they just run :p. If you're alone, your weakness is your lack of numbers, thus you need something that can tank against numbers. You just need to assess what you're weakness is per scenario. If you have a wing, then the best wing consists of FDLs and Clippers. but if you put rails on the Python, you can stop people in their tracks pretty fast. If you're a pirate, then again the best ship is probably something fast, yet with enough power to power scanners and an interdictor, so now you're looking more at a clipper. and I still have room for more power (keeping in mind that you turn cell banks not in use).Īfter having tried all of these pretty heavily, it's clear to me the Python is the best solo PvP ship out there. I am able to all rails, best shields, all boosters + 1 chaff, A4 FSD interdictor, a bunch of A banks, A everything else besides sensors. The Python has ample power for everything you could want. Just don't let shields drop, or power drop the shields in your frenzy of switching around power to new banks. With the banks, there's no question that the Python can easily outlast the FDL, but also it is good enough to outlast any wings that you need to flee from. The Python is actually less tanky than the FDL without banks. The Anaconda, while multi-purpose, serves one purpose really: Trading.

It's also a ship that you wont see much combat in. no one can mass lock you besides another anaconda, and you'll have the best jump range). It's basically impossible unless a few wings jump in on you at the same time, you go take a piss, and they use all rails (partially joking, but seriously, if you're paying attention, you simply wont die. The Anaconda is a ship you just plain wont die in (if you're tanked out with best boosters, best shields, and good hull armor). So you wont have room for scanners, or a nice FSD interdictor without compromises. The FDL is woefully underpowered after you get proper weaponry and shields. I've had a combat Anaconda, combat Python, and combat FDL, all maxed out, besides max hull on the Anaconda, since shields should never drop anyway.
